# Billing

> Manage your plan, see usage, and update payment methods.

Billing lives at [admin.insito.app](https://admin.insito.app) under the
**Billing** group in Settings, split into two tabs: **Plan** (`?tab=plan`) and
**Invoices** (`?tab=invoices`). There's one billing entity per organisation —
a single Stripe customer record regardless of how many apps you've created.

## Plan tab

The Plan tab shows:

* **Current plan** — `Free`, `Starter`, `Growth`, or `Studio`.
* **Monthly response usage** — a usage bar of used vs. limit. See
  [plan limits](/concepts/plan-limits) for what counts (caps are per app).
* **Upgrade** buttons for higher tiers.
* **Manage subscription** / **Manage in Stripe** for paid plans, which opens the
  Stripe customer portal.

  The per-app monthly reset date is shown on the **Overview → Responses** widget
  ("Resets on …"), not on the Plan tab.

## Plans

Paid plans can buy additional apps as an add-on, which raises the number of apps
included in the subscription.

## Upgrading

Click **Upgrade** on a higher tier. Insito redirects you to a Stripe-hosted
Checkout session — no card details ever touch our servers. After Stripe confirms
payment, the new plan takes effect immediately and the per-app response cap
raises to the new tier's value (Stripe prorates the current cycle).

## Downgrading and cancelling

Downgrades and cancellation go through **Manage in Stripe** (the Stripe customer
portal), not a dedicated "Downgrade" button. Cancelling returns you to the Free
plan — your apps and data stay intact, but each app goes back to the
250-responses/month cap.

## Updating payment method

On a paid plan, **Settings → Plan → Manage subscription** opens the Stripe
customer portal, where you can add or remove cards, change the billing address
used on invoices, and download past invoices and receipts. The portal is hosted
by Stripe; closing it returns you to the Insito dashboard.

## Invoices

The **Invoices** tab lists your organisation's Stripe invoices with their
status and amount, and links to the hosted invoice / receipt.

## Tax & VAT

Stripe Tax handles sales tax, EU/UK VAT, and GST automatically based on your
billing address. If you're a VAT-registered EU business, add your VAT ID in the
Stripe portal to be charged at 0% via reverse charge.
